Description
An upright, rhizomatous plant with glossy-black foliage. This cultivar was first developed and introduced in South Korea in the early 2010s. It's been wildly popular, ever since. One of the hardiest indoor plants, tolerating lower light conditions and periods of drought. Contrasts wonderfully against other plants. Featuring thick, glossy, pinnate leaves on arching petioles. New growth emerges bright green but assumes a dramatic inky finish over time. Mature specimens typically achieve 1-2' wide and 2-3' tall indoors, composed of a dense colony of offsets and assuming a dramatic vase shape. Small pale spadix flowers are a rare occurrence indoors. Suitable for a tabletop or shelf in bright filtered or indirect sunlight, potted in any medium tabletop planter from Bergs Potter.
