Description
A rare variety of Sansevieria originally from West Africa, admired for its distinctive cylindrical growths with striking variegation. Foliage is tubular, pointed and emerges in upright clusters resembling a fan. Individual leaves are mottled in beautiful soft bands of green, grey and cream, which span their length. Offsets occur at the plant base, expanding into a dense colony of layered rosettes with time. The plant is resilient, slow- and low-growing; it achieves modest proportions — up to 12-15" w and 6–12" h and for this reason is well-suited desks, shelves, or tabletops where space is limited. Under ideal conditions, mature specimens may produce slender flower spikes with clusters of small, lightly fragrant, greenish-white blooms. Potted in a Julie Planter 12 cm / 4.25" by Bergs Potter. Prefers bright indirect to filtered sunlight, tolerates lower light.
