Description
A charming tiny-leaved variety of hoya. Also called "Hoya Aloha". Features miniature olive green obtuse or spade-shaped foliage that is heavily speckled silver. Growth forms a dense, carpet-like mat atop the soil and prior to developing long trails. When sun-stressed, leaves redden to a deep burgundy and variegation pops. Hoyas — aka "wax plants," thanks to their thick, waxy leaves — are among our favourite indoor houseplants. The species is largely drought-tolerant, endures for years in the same pot, grows to epic proportions, propagates easily, and produces recurring clusters of fragrant, star-shaped flowers in ideal growing conditions. Potted in a rose terracotta Julie Planter 10 cm / 3.5" from Bergs Potter. Prefers bright indirect to filtered sunlight. Avoid exposure to direct afternoon sun, as this may scorch and permanently damage leaves.
