Description

A compact, easy-to-care-for succulent that tolerates lower light conditions. Haworthiopsis Coarctata (formerly Haworthia coarctata) occurs in rocky areas of the Eastern Cape (South Africa). It's columnar, rosette-form growths are composed of elongated, triangular dark green foliage with small white tubercles; these lend texture and an almost dotted appearance to the plant. Slow-growing and known as "Crowded Haworthia" for its particularly dense habit. Spreads through offsets and achieves up to 8" in height at maturity under ideal growing conditions. May produce tall, thin stalks of small, white, tubular flowers in the spring or summer. Develops red, purple, or brownish hues as a form of protection from harsh sun conditions. Suitable for a desk, windowsill or shelf with bright filtered to direct sunlight.
