Description
Locally-sourced American Bittersweet (Celastrus scandens). Woody, twining stems that loop and twist. Laden with small round berries that split open at maturity to reveal a bright orange-red aril and papery yellow husks. Native to North America. Vibrant, contrasting colour. Some shedding is normal with handling. Available in 10-stem bunches. Suited to a broad-mouthed vase filled with chicken wire or decor sand to anchor narrow stems in the round. Jade-glazed vases from Alissa Coe Studio foreground these materials wonderfully.
