Description
A trailing epiphyte from Southeast Asia, coveted for its decorative foliage resembling beaded curtains. A relation to the Hoya family. Individual leaves are opposite, rounded, lens-shaped and imbricate — arranged like roof tiles, tightly packed and overlapping one another. Their structure helps them climb and cling to supports such as trees.New growth is glossy-green but matures to a silvery, matte-finish, trailing up to 2-3' long. Flowers are star-shaped, small, inconspicuous and a rare occurrence indoors. Prefers bright to indirect sunlight. Display in a hanging planter or on a sunlit shelf or mantle so that growths may hang freely.
