Features extensive feathery drifts and dispersions of taupe glaze obscuring a luminous emerald green and muscari blue body below. Atmospheric and gauze-like effects. Remarkable. DESIGNER
Clam Lab is the ceramics practice of artist Clair Catillaz, based in Catskill, New York, USA. Catillaz creates tactile, functional vessels of other-worldly beauty. They reflect a profound understanding of materials and ceramic history — drawing from the aesthetic of Wabi Sabi and Japanese ceramics, Scandinavian design and the American studio pottery movement, among others. Each piece features high-quality stoneware, masterful glaze customization and application, a sophisticated firing process, and a skillful integration of hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques. Her latest collection contains some of her finest artworks to date. All are intended for everyday enjoyment and use.
