DESCRIPTION

Introducing the next generation of planters from Bergs Potter! Impressive, monumental terracotta pots with matching saucers for large indoor plants or seasonal outdoor garden displays. Available in two raw finishes and two nested sizes — 50 cm / 18.5" and 60 cm (tall) / 21.5". Includes complimentary set of large triangle planter supports in a matching raw finish. Dubbed the “Castle Pot,” the Kobenhavner Planter was inspired by those originally produced at the Danish Royal Castle of Fredensborg in 1860. Designed in Denmark and handmade in Italy from signature clay. Includes drainage hole and matching silicone-treated saucer, which is water-proof. High-fired terracotta is durable and permeable, developing a unique patina over time. Best suited to plants that prefer to dry out between waterings. Intended for indoor use. May be used outdoors seasonally (spring-fall) and stored empty in a protected spot over winter. Not frost-proof for Canadian winters.

DIMENSIONS

18.5" interior top Ø x 15.25" interior h.
Fits a large plant (17" nursery pot) potted directly.
Weighs up to 64 lbs (saucer included).

BRAND

Bergs Potter is a family-run Copenhagen-based manufacturer of superior terracotta planters. Their designs are made by artisans using regional clay in Tuscany, Italy. Some are available in unique glazes. All are coveted as they provide ideal growing conditions for most plants.

Made by hand. Some variation is to be expected. Clean using a mild vinegar solution and rinse after cleaning. Surface protection is recommended. Lift before moving raw/glazed components to avoid surface marks.
