General Care
Light
Medium to bright filtered. Avoid low light. Avoid direct sun, except during winter (3-4 hours).
Temperature
18-24°C. Tolerates temperatures down to 10°C, at which growth slows. Protect from hot or cold drafts.
Humidity
Low to average.
Water
Every 1 -2 weeks. Water moderately (spring-fall) and allow thoroughly moist (not soggy) potting mix to dry within top 1-2”. Water more sparingly (winter) and allow mix to dry halfway. Always check moisture level before watering. Aerate mix to improve its condition.
Fertilizer
Once a month (spring-fall). Use organic houseplant fertilizer, according to packaging instructions.
Maintenance
Every 1-2 weeks, rotate plant to ensure even growth. Every 1-2 months, dust leaves with a soft, damp cloth and inspect for pests when doing so. Remove spent leaves. Trim brown leaf tips to a point.
Potting and Repotting
Soil-based potting mix. Transplant once pot-bound. Every 2-3 years (spring) move plant into a planter 1-2” larger (diameter and depth). Top dress annually, once maximum convenient planter size reached.

- Brown and crispy leaf tips may suggest plant prefers more regular watering or higher humidity.
