The effect is soft, feathery and full. Mature plants reach 1–2' tall and 3–4' wide. Stems bear small thorns; handle with care. Small, fragrant white flowers appear in late spring to early summer, followed by ornamental red berries in autumn. Thrives in bright indirect to filtered light. Direct afternoon sun may cause the foliage to yellow. Insufficient light or allowing the soil to dry out completely will also cause yellowing and leaf drop. Best displayed on a shelf, pedestal or elevated surface.
