Some variation in colour and finish to be expected. Pots may bear traces of their maker. Terracotta develops a natural patina over time, especially when exposed to moisture and soil. Clean using a mild vinegar solution and rinse after cleaning. Raw saucers treated with silicone to prevent moisture transfer; however, surface protection recommended. High-fired, durable clay permits use outdoors (spring-fall). Not frost-proof for Canadian winters.
