DESCRIPTION
A modestly-sized moon jar with a slightly more pronounced foot than mouth. Skillful oilspot glazing produces a smooth, lustrous black surface strategically broken with gauze-like passages of matte brown at the neck, along the top curvature and near the foot. Significant sparkle and some iridescence to glossy finish throughout. Wheel-thrown stoneware. Watertight. One of a kind and handmade by Clam Lab.

Clam Lab is the ceramics practice of artist Clair Catillaz, based in Catskill, New York, USA. Catillaz creates vessels of other-worldly beauty on the wheel and using traditional hand-building techniques.
