Loose Leaf is both a botanical design studio and carefully considered retail space in the heart of Melbourne, Australia. Created by husband and wife duo Charlie Lawler and Wona Bae. Located in a converted warehouse, the space resembles an indoor jungle and doubles not only as our studio for creating botanical installations and products, but also as a unique retail space specialising in indoor plants and fresh cut flowers.

Generally speaking, our philosophy centres around getting creative and reconnecting with nature. Having both grown up outside of the city, we strongly believe in the therapeutic benefits of connecting with nature. And when we are not creating with it we as doing our darnedest to get out and explore it! In addition to being a physical space, we run a botanical design studio that specialises in both permanent and temporary indoor landscape design and botanical installations. The studio and space are a living testament to our shared journey that’s constantly looking out to nature to be inspired within. Our motto is observe nature, be inspired by it and start experimenting! We are on a constant search to be surprised by nature.
